Join us for an artist talk with Eric LoPresti, in conversation with fellow painter and Uprise Art artist Christian Nguyen.

Eric will discuss the newest iteration of his Blueprint Paintings, a series conceived to explore the apocalyptic sublime through aerial depictions of nuclear test sites, data visualizations, and volcanic eruptions. In these works, Eric disrupts the architectural blue of his schematic-like drawings with bright punches of color borrowed from his Rocks and Tapes series. These symbolic marks suggest redaction, masking, or an attempt to hold things together amongst chaos and disruption.
